Legend has it that Ideal was originally known as Joetown but when a visiting railroad executive declared it an "ideal" place for a depot, the name stuck. Ideal, Georgia, was incorporated as a city in 1907.
Ideal is a small town nestled in Macon County. I grew up in a neighboring town but I always remember this charming town and this old water tower depicted in the art on this tote bag reaching into the sky.
