Old Cotton Warehouse - Georgia Art Print
This Georgia art print features an old cotton warehouse adjacent to the railroad tracks in Byromville. This small town in Dooly County reminds me of much of many south Georgia towns. There are beautiful buildings like this brick cotton warehouse that are filled with character but vacant today. There's a sense of the past. You can picture bales of cottons on those docks, a steam train coming to be loaded, etc. But those days are long past.
This print captures the deep red brick of the old warehouse against a backdrop of early fall colors. The grasses in the foreground are mostly yellow. The skies are a shade of blue that always reminds me of Autumn. And the trees are still green, but the slightly less vivid green of the latter part of the year. Taken together it's a beautiful combination of colors and texture.
