This classic car metal print features an Austin A40 Somerset Saloon. This classic British car was built but the Austin Motor Company from 1952 through 1954. This post-war years car was built when the company operated under the name "Austin Of England." This artwork was done for a competition where the entries were based on the same photo by Abbie Shores. Although the car in her photo was black, I looked at some of the vintage colors for the Austin A40 and decided to go with a two-tone red paint style. This is contrasted with a cool blue background that is a mixture of light that suggests movement. The end result is a fun view of a classic British car driving through a rainy night on the city streets somewhere in Britain.
I've said before I love the design of the classic cars of the last century - particularly the mid-century ones. The sweeping lines of the Austin A40 Somerset Saloon were definitely an inspiration for this artwork. I'd love to hear what you think about it and what drew you to this particular classic car metal print? Love old cars in general or do you have special memories of the Austin A40?

Metal Prints - Product Information

Metal prints are a contemporary and stylish choice that will arrive at your door ready to hang.
The artwork is printed on a 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum that is then mounted on a 3/4" thick wooden frame. The wooden frame is recessed from the edge of the print giving the appearance of a thin high-gloss metal print that appears to be offset from your wall.
Each metal print is made to your order and printed using archival quality materials that should last a lifetime. Metal prints take 5 to 7 business days to produce and are shipped directly to you in sturdy packaging.
The only decision you will have to make when ordering your metal print is how large you would like it to be.
How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
