This abstract action metal print features eye catching basketball player art. It has a dreamy quality to it with the background being an assortment of colors and lights. This is meant to symbolize being in the zone or in the moment, a sort of zen quality when the world beyond the court disappears. When I first envisioned this artwork, I pictured the basketball player in this dynamic pose but I'll be entirely honest that I didn't know what this was called. A bit of hunting around and I discovered that this more or less depicts a moment during a fast break, when the team is trying to move the ball up the court. The player is likely about to pass the ball.
This basketball player art is a bit of a nod to my late father. It's not meant to be him in any sense. I never really saw him play. During my childhood he was a teacher and a coach. Basketball was both a sport he played and coached and definitely among his favorite sports. The number 42 on the player's uniform is the only direct link with him though. That was his number when he played in school. I particularly included this because it's also the answer to life, the universe, and everything - which is a reference that probably only the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans out there will get and which otherwise has nothing to do with basketball.
I like to think my father would have appreciated this basketball player art, and I hope the basketball player in your life might enjoy it, too? Or if it's you that loves the sport, I hope you'll share your thoughts. Does this abstraction action metal print capture the spirit of basketball for you or not? I hope you'll let me know.

What People Are Saying
I'm a Hill and when I saw this I just had to buy it. I have so many fond memories of spending summer weeks down in Montezuma at Nanny and Paw's store. I was so sad when the flood filled the store with water but it was a testament to the community when so many banded together to help out afterwards. Just know I bought this print to frame and take to Nanny so she can enjoy it as well. Thank you so much for making this ❤️

She Loves It!
My girlfriend just received the print, and she loves it! We both love the vibrant colors, and Forsyth Park, Savannah in general, and Tybee Island are special to us because she lives in NC and I live in FL, so every once in a while we’ll meet in the middle and explore together.
Thank you so much!
