This original lighthouse metal print features the historic Boston Light in the rain. There's been a lighthouse on this island in Boston's outer harbor since 1716. The current Boston Light was built in 1783 and is the only lighthouse in America that is still manned by the US Coast Guard. It is automated but there is still a keeper who acts as guide for visitors to Little Brewster Island. Unsurprisingly, Boston Light was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964.
Boston Light is seen in this artwork at night with rain falling. This is my favorite way to depict lighthouses although they are a subject I love regardless of the landscape. There's just something romantic about a lighthouse and it's a subject I've found speaks to many out there for a multitude of reasons. But there's just something reassuring about seeing the top of a lighthouse lit up against night skies - particularly in the rain. All is well!

Metal Prints - Product Information

Metal prints are a contemporary and stylish choice that will arrive at your door ready to hang.
The artwork is printed on a 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum that is then mounted on a 3/4" thick wooden frame. The wooden frame is recessed from the edge of the print giving the appearance of a thin high-gloss metal print that appears to be offset from your wall.
Each metal print is made to your order and printed using archival quality materials that should last a lifetime. Metal prints take 5 to 7 business days to produce and are shipped directly to you in sturdy packaging.
The only decision you will have to make when ordering your metal print is how large you would like it to be.
How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
