This original Colonial Williamsburg art print features a sunlit carriage ride. There's something about the golden light in this scene that just feels magical to me. And even though the photo this artwork is based on was taken in late summer, it has always reminded me of one of my favorite poems, "Woodland Ride" by A.E. Houseman. As a result the official title of this piece has always been Woodland Ride, a reminder to live in the moment. The text of Houseman's poem follows:
After reading Houseman's poem do you feel the same connection to the golden moment captured in this Colonial Williamsburg art print? Does it remind you a carriage ride in Williamsburg, Virginia or elsewhere? Or maybe it simply warms your heart? I hope you'll share what this print means to you when you look at it and what attracted you to it?
