This aerial art print is of the Chicago skyline at night. The combination of deep dusk blue skies fading into the dark waters of Lake Michigan against the warm glow of the skyscrapers and city streets was simply phenomenal. This aerial view is basically indistinguishable from my first view of Chicago from a plane coming in for a landing years ago. But this vantage point is not from a helicopter or jet. It's actually from the observation deck of the Willis Tower.
I had been to the Willis Tower years before but it was in the morning and although the view was still amazing, I'm so glad I managed to see the sunset over Chicago from above. It was well worth a second visit to this lofty perch. And this golden Chicago skyline at night art print has been a conversation starter every since.
