Crossroads Store - Scenic Country Art Print
This scenic country art print features the Crossroads Store, a little corner of Crisp County that I stumbled upon one afternoon years ago. At the time I guessed it was the Crossroads Store based on the name of the dirt road seen here. But years later I was contacted by someone who recognized the location and filled me in on the history.
The Crossroads Store was built in the 1940's and served nearby families into the late 1960's. Many of those patrons were farm workers on the farm where the store was located. And it still belongs to the same family all these years later. Amazing isn't it?
Finding out more about the history of this country store was pretty neat, and this piece of scenic country art still speaks to me about another time and place. There are still a few of these places still in business but not nearly as many as there once was.
