Dumbo - Historic Brooklyn Greeting Card
This historic Brooklyn greeting card shows some of the heritage architecture of the Dumbo neighborhood. Specifically these two buildings are the Clock Tower Building and the Sweeney Building. These beautiful pieces of the Brooklyn skyline were originally industrial buildings when they were built early in the 20th century. Today they are loft condos.
Personally I love historic architecture so these buildings caught my eye as soon as I saw them. I loved the little touches that say NYC like the wood water tower on the right and old clock towers are always interesting to me. They are little reminders of a world where people didn't have easy access to personal clocks. And the architecture was simply eye catching in the afternoon sun.
What attracts you to the historic Brooklyn card? Do you call the Dumbo neighborhood home? Or do you simply love the historic buildings that make up New York City?
