This London art print features fireworks over the Elizabeth Tower known more popularly as Big Ben. Big Ben is, of course, the bell, but some times it's hard to fight common use names! This Victorian clock tower is probably among the most recognizable landmarks the world over. It's definitely among my favorite subjects. And I've had this image in the back of my mind for years. I've never actually seen Fireworks over Big Ben in person. But years ago I came back through London after New Years and one of my roommates at the hostel where I was staying showed me a video of the festivities in London. Even on a small screen it was mesmerizing.
I think this artwork captures that feeling of a joyous celebration with brilliant fireworks in the skies with the seemingly enduring Big Ben standing watch. What do you think? What captures your attention in this London art print? Does it remind you of seeing Fireworks over Big Ben in person? Or perhaps you simply enjoy the vibe? I hope you'll share your thoughts.
