Fleeting Dreams - Impressionist Metal Print
The artwork on this dreamy impressionist metal print is based on a black and white photo of the old Equitable Building. The photo was taken by the US Government for the Historic American Buildings Survey sometime before its demolition in 1971. The Equitable Building, built in 1892, was generally regarded as Atlanta's first skyscraper. So, people from Atlanta may be interested in this print for that historical connection.
But ultimately as you can see, I went in a much more impressionist direction with this artwork which features layers of different media which adds to the feeling of it being something from a dream with the building dissolving into the very atmosphere around it. And I feel this is a print that has appeal for those who enjoy something unique as much as it is to those who like the nod to Atlanta's architectural past.
