The subject of this tall ship metal print is the Friendship of Salem in harbor at Derby Wharf in Salem, Massachusetts near Boston. This 171-foot replica was built in 2000 is based on a 1797 East Indiaman. It spends much of the year in Salem but does go on special sailings periodically. If you've ever seen it, you know this tall ship certainly has the feel of 18th century sailing ship.
I had never heard of the Friendship of Salem before spending a day out of Boston roaming the historic streets of Salem. Getting to see such a storied place alone was worth the time spent there but the old architecture and finding this replica tall ship made it an extra special trip. This print has long been one of my most popular ones from New England. I'm sure in part that's because of how much people love these old tall ships, but I think it's also the quality of the light on that winter day and the composition that includes Derby Wharf, the old Customs House and the city of Salem in general. There's a real sense of location in this Salem metal print, don't you agree?
What attracts you to this scene from Salem?

I'm a Hill and when I saw this I just had to buy it. I have so many fond memories of spending summer weeks down in Montezuma at Nanny and Paw's store. I was so sad when the flood filled the store with water but it was a testament to the community when so many banded together to help out afterwards. Just know I bought this print to frame and take to Nanny so she can enjoy it as well. Thank you so much for making this ❤️

She Loves It!
My girlfriend just received the print, and she loves it! We both love the vibrant colors, and Forsyth Park, Savannah in general, and Tybee Island are special to us because she lives in NC and I live in FL, so every once in a while we’ll meet in the middle and explore together.
Thank you so much!

The artwork is printed on a 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum that is then mounted on a 3/4" thick wooden frame. The wooden frame is recessed from the edge of the print giving the appearance of a thin high-gloss metal print that appears to be offset from your wall.
Each metal print is made to your order and printed using archival quality materials that should last a lifetime. Metal prints take 10 to 15 business days to produce and are shipped directly to you in sturdy packaging.
The only decision you will have to make when ordering your metal print is how large you would like it to be.
