This landscape art print features Georgia's salt marshes between Savannah and Tybee Island. I stumbled over this beautiful landscape early in the morning on my first day in the Savannah area and instantly fell in love with it. I can still hear the hum of life as the sun rose and the mists dissolved. It was glorious and I think the sweeping view in this large print really captures it.
Among the interesting things I learned later after reading up on Georgia's salt marshes is that the change in color of the marsh grasses is due to the amount of salt water beneath them. It's a natural phenomenon but looks like it was planted that way doesn't it? I've read that coastal marsh land are like our kidneys, they filter the water much as trees filter the air.
If you enjoy Georgia's salt marshes, I hope this print captures your attention as much as it does mine.
