This Dublin art print features the Ha'Penny Bridge in Spring. Although I visited Ireland in the winter, there were still some beautiful sunny days and it was not hard for me to imagine a great spring day with fresh green on the trees along the banks of the River Liffey.
I spent about half of my month in Ireland enjoying the streets of Dublin. If you're checking out this Ha'Penny Bridge art print, odds are you know Dublin. Either you've been as a visitor like I have or you've called the place home at some point. So you probably recognize this beautiful landmark. The Liffey Bridge, its official name, was built in 1816. Before that the only way across the Liffey was by ferry. It cost a half penny to cross the pedestrian bridge and despite it being free for nearly a century, the unofficial moniker of Ha'penny bridge has stuck.
One of the oldest cast iron bridges in the world, this beautiful bridge has become a symbol for Dublin. This cheerful and colorful print would make a great souvenir of a fun visit to the capitol of the Republic of Ireland.
