This Montezuma Georgia greeting card depicts a scene that would probably feel familiar to generations of folks who called Montezuma home. This is Hill's Department store on Cherry Street. Opened in 1887, Hill's operated for three generations. The decorative tiles at the front door read Yancey Hill and there was never a need to change the name! All three generations of men who ran this family business bore the same name. Hill's was special to many and is still fondly remembered. It seems like everyone who speaks of Hill's mentions having worked there at some point in their life, and I, for one, as a child got my first suit there. The building sits empty now so I took some artistic license and depicted it in the past. Not that I guarantee this is how it looked long ago. The only photo I found showed Hill's with a green awning and the rest is my imagination.
Even if you don't call Montezuma home, I hope this has a quaint small town quality you can appreciate. But if you are from here, I hope this Montezuma card stirs up happy memories for you.

How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
