This Galway Ireland greeting card features Maloneys Corner Shop in the fog - a little slice of life on the Irish west coast. I think this street scene would be interesting even without the fog but that takes it to another gritty level. My understanding is that this corner shop on Francis Street in Galway has been there for some decades. I gather the name has stayed despite changing hands.
This artwork is based on a photo I took on a foggy night in Galway. As in the photo, the people moving in the fog outside Maloneys Corner Shop are almost ghost like. Even the ones standing and chatting at the door are indistinct. There's a sense of capturing a fleeting glimpse of human life in Galway.
For me personally, the combination of daily life and the colors are what catches my attention in the artwork on this card. How about you? What attracts you to this particular foggy Galway image?

What People Are Saying
I'm a Hill and when I saw this I just had to buy it. I have so many fond memories of spending summer weeks down in Montezuma at Nanny and Paw's store. I was so sad when the flood filled the store with water but it was a testament to the community when so many banded together to help out afterwards. Just know I bought this print to frame and take to Nanny so she can enjoy it as well. Thank you so much for making this ❤️

The Fox Theatre is Definitely FABULOUS! THIS BLACK AND WHITE VERSION GIVES EXTRA NOSTALGIA I believe, is why I picked this 1, though I love ALL OF Mark's pics of the Fox. The theatre is Beautiful, I went to 2 - 3 concerts there years ago & So glad it didn't get torn down. Mark captured Great details in this pic!!

She Loves It!
My girlfriend just received the print, and she loves it! We both love the vibrant colors, and Forsyth Park, Savannah in general, and Tybee Island are special to us because she lives in NC and I live in FL, so every once in a while we’ll meet in the middle and explore together.
Thank you so much!
