This Savannah Georgia metal print features Moon River. I'll admit when I stumbled over this stretch of water one evening, I didn't know that the song Moon River was inspired by an actual place, but it is.
The even more interesting thing is that this wasn't Moon River when Savannah native, Johnny Mercer, wrote the song. It was then known as the Back River. There's a great commentary in there on the lasting legacy of music, as the river was re-named.
On the evening I was there, the dusk blue skies and mists made for a magical feeling. I can almost hear music when I look at this wide print of Moon River, how about you?
