This Macon County Georgia tote bag features original artwork depicting the Oglethorpe Baptist Church. The current building was constructed in 1955 but the history of the Oglethorpe Baptist congregation goes back to 1847 when a congregation formed in a then-neary village named Hamburg. The city of Oglethorpe itself was founded in 1849 and in 1850 with the knowledge the railroad was coming, the congregation at Hamburg extended a new arm to Oglethorpe. While the church building is newer, the history of Oglethorpe Baptist is, as you can see, long.
I would love to know what attracts you to the artwork on this tote bag? Are you a current or former member of Oglethorpe Baptist?
Note, the same artwork is repeated on both sides of the tote bag. If you would like a different image on one side, custom text such as a message or name, or some other customizations please send a message before ordering.
