Old Barn - Georgia Fall Color Art Print
This Georgia fall color art print features an old barn in Dekalb County near Mount Arabia. I stumbled over this old barn at Vaughters Farm one day when I was visiting Mount Arabia and took a walk along the nature trail there. The barn and its surroundings has been preserved by Dekalb County to save a little of the history in an area that is rapidly urbanizing.
Coincidentally years later, a guy saw one of my art prints of this old barn and indicated it had been a dairy barn in the past and that it had been on his route as a driver in the business in years past.
I love that this old farm has been saved as these little family farms are rapidly disappearing from the landscape even in rural parts of Georgia and across America.
This print is filled with fall color from the trees on the ridge beyond to the grasses in the foreground. It's simply a warm and cheerful scene.
