Palace Walls - Colonial Williamsburg Metal Print
This original Colonial Williamsburg metal print features a unique view overlooking the Palace Walls. On the other side one gets a glimpse of the beautiful Georgian architecture. The current building is a faithful reproduction of the original colonial governor's palace which was lost to fire during the American Revolution. And it's easy to imagine how it might have felt to a citizen of Colonial Virginia standing outside the palace all those years ago. That's the magic of visiting Williamsburg, Virginia. As someone who finds history and old places fascinating this was probably as close to walking in America's past as I'm likely to get.
This artwork is based on a photo I took as I stood outside the gates one sunny morning. I found the classic architecture appealing especially in the glow of the sun.
What attracts you to this particular Colonial Williamsburg metal print? Do you simply generally love history? Perhaps you've visited Colonial Williamsburg or find the view over the Palace Walls intriguing? I hope you may share what makes this architectural print speak to you?
