About This Image
Peter’s Hill View of St. Paul’s Cathedral - London Art Print by Mark Tisdale.

This London art print features a Peter's Hill view of St. Paul's Cathedral. This approach to St. Paul's from the river used to be known as St. Peter's Steps and prior to the blitz of World War II would have been a much different landscape from what I've heard. This area was still the London of Charles Dickens' day up until much of it was bombed. The image of the dome of St. Paul's rising from the smoke is still a powerful image all these years later. I wonder how different this view would be without the war?

London is not a static city. Despite it's tourist trade, it's a living breathing place that continues to build alongside the old. So whatever might have been, the approach to the 17th century is filled with the modern. And that contrast is one of the things I personally love about London. When St. Paul's Cathedral was built, it was cutting edge. So it seems fitting that it should be surrounded by modern architecture. At least that's my take on it.

This view up Peter's Hill is a slice of London. From the architecture to the crowds enjoying a sunny day to take in the sights. Maybe this reminds you of your own time in London?

Wonderful Memories

I'm a Hill and when I saw this I just had to buy it. I have so many fond memories of spending summer weeks down in Montezuma at Nanny and Paw's store. I was so sad when the flood filled the store with water but it was a testament to the community when so many banded together to help out afterwards. Just know I bought this print to frame and take to Nanny so she can enjoy it as well. Thank you so much for making this ❤️

She Loves It!

My girlfriend just received the print, and she loves it! We both love the vibrant colors, and Forsyth Park, Savannah in general, and Tybee Island are special to us because she lives in NC and I live in FL, so every once in a while we’ll meet in the middle and explore together.
Thank you so much!
