This San Diego greeting card features the historic Point Loma Lighthouse. The old Light is part of the Cabrillo National Monument. Although it was built in the 19th century long after the Spanish influence in the area, its sometimes referred to as the "Old Spanish Lighthouse." I find local mythology fascinating even though it's often similar to the old game of telephone where the message inevitably changed as it was passed along.
The Point Loma Lighthouse artwork on this card was the result of a request sometime ago. But it was a happy request as I love lighthouses. This is a subject I'm always looking for a reason to do. I think part of it is the history and part of it is the inherent symbolism of lighthouses, especially in the night and rain as depicted here.
And it's a subject that often transcends location. Many who have bought my lighthouse artwork over the years have told me that the card or print they purchased didn't feature a lighthouse they'd seen in person, they just love lighthouse art. Is that you, too? Or is Point Loma Lighthouse a place you know and love?

How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
