Pockets of prehistoric Ireland abound but this Newgrange passage tomb greeting card features what may well be the granddaddy of amazing prehistoric sites. Newgrange is an astronomically aligned passage tomb. Originally timed with the winter solstice, a beam of light illuminates the inner reaches of the decorated mound once a year. Even getting to go inside and witness the simulated light of that day was a highlight of my travels.
Newgrange was already centuries old when the Egyptian pyramids were built. When Stonehenge was built, Newgrange had stood for a thousand years. As it was built before written record, we can only guess at the intentions and the culture of the builders. But it's fascinating to try to peek into the minds of long ago. Imagine this view of the Newgrange passage tomb on a similar winter day 5,000 years ago. Mind boggling isn't it?
What catches your eye in the image on this Newgrange passage tomb greeting card? Does it remind you of a visit to this prehistoric site or do you simply love a captivating Irish landscape complete with prehistoric stone monuments?

How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
