Red Post Box - 5x7 London Greeting Card by Mark Tisdale.
The subject of this London greeting card is a classic Victorian red post box. As you can see, the background of the artwork on this card also has a mail theme. It is a collage of vintage letters, envelopes and stamps with the silhouettes of a couple of iconic London buildings, "Big Ben" and St. Paul's Cathedral. There's a real sense of history in this image.
The red post box or pillar box has long caught my attention but I have to admit to some geeky fondness of them because the fictional Danger Mouse had his headquarters in one. I always think of that cartoon when I see a classic red post box like this.
The scene on this card is a unique way to show your love for London and the classic British styling of the vintage post box.
