The subject of this London greeting card is a classic Routemaster bus. I think for a lot of us, when we think of London double-decker buses, this is the type that immediately springs to mind. Most of these vintage buses are in private service these days but a handful are still used for London's heritage bus route. It's possible you were unaware of London's heritage bus route. I know I was until I saw this classic Routemaster bus rumbling its way up the Strand.
The classic London view seen on this card is where Fleet Street becomes The Strand - Temple Bar - the border of the old city of London. So this was a great spot to capture an iconic piece of London history. The border dragon is sitting atop a monument to Queen Victoria. This is old London in a nutshell to me.
The image on this card has a vintage color treatment in appreciation for its classic subject. This was also inspired by how much this red bus scene reminds me of old slides I once saw of my uncle's trip to London.

Greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. Each card comes with a white envelope.
These greeting cards may be ordered as a single card or in packs of 10 or 25 cards. If you would like to order cards in greater quantities or with other customization, send me a message.
How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
