Rustic Cottage - Montezuma Georgia Art Print
This Montezuma Georgia art print features a rustic cottage that has had broad appeal. The inspiration for this scene was a mixture of a local single-pen cottage that had seen better days and a photo my grandfather took years ago.
In that old photo, my grandmother is half seen in the doorway. The actual subject of the photo was their youngest son on the steps outside. But the unintentional image of my grandmother half in shadow had stayed in my mind a long time and this rustic cottage called to me as well. I wanted to capture it as it might have been.
People often tell me that this rustic cottage print reminds them of someone special in their life - frequently a mother or grandmother.
