This Rocky Point Mexico art print features a Sea of Cortez sunset very much inspired by one I saw on my trip there years ago. This abstract artwork is all about color rather than form and the warmth of it takes me back to standing by the ocean and watching the sun fall into the sea. The water and sky was a mass of orange and blue mixed with pink and gold. It was one of those moments that made you want to live in that little piece of time forever more.
Funny enough it's often that we make unexpected memories. I went to Rocky Point, Mexico (or Puerto Penasco) to see my favorite band play. And I had a great time, but mostly what I remember is my first hand exposure to Mexico, the rich colors, the great people. It brought me back on successive trips and I have never forgotten the color of the Sea of Cortez and hope to see it again one day.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this sunset print. Do you have fond memories of the same place or is it simply the colorful abstract art that attracted you?
