This Galway greeting card captures a view of The Long Walk from The Claddagh and includes several seabirds in flight. I swear I can hear them when I look at this print, can you? The sound of birds is definitely part and parcel of a walk on the seaside and I spent a lot of my time in Galway along the water. I cannot name all the birds in the air and on the water, but I believe the larger birds in flight are herring gulls. They were enjoying the sunny winter day for sure!
There's something graceful and effortless about birds in flight which was what I wanted to capture in this scene. As they careened through the air against such a beautiful backdrop, I couldn't help but feel happy and I feel that same feeling wash over me in my quiet home years later. It definitely takes me back to the sea and in particular back to Galway.

About Greeting Cards
Greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. Each card comes with a white envelope.
