Small Town Life - Leary Georgia Art Print
This Leary Georgia art print features a taste of small town life in rural Georgia. Leary of my childhood was a way-marker on our trip to see my grandmother in Dothan, Alabama. A lot of small towns in South Georgia echo in my memories. Between my father's tenure as a high school coach and family trips, we seemed to pass through a lot of small places.
I've found on recent travels that many of them are in a nearly literal sense, ghosts of what I remember. A lot of empty store fronts as so many people have shifted away from small town life in recent decades. But this print captures the vibe of so many small towns, a row of simple brick buildings and a classic pickup truck. I could imagine this was a farmer who had come to town to do his business at the local bank. What do you imagine?
