Spring Farm Scene - Georgia Barn Art Print
This Georgia barn art print features a spring farm scene from the countryside in Macon County, Georgia. I spotted this place once on a ramble through down dirt roads near my home town of Montezuma. I went back more than once because I thought it was such a lovely subject.
There's something in the color of green in the spring that I can only describe as new. It feels more vibrant. Take a look at the green grasses and small yellow flowers in the foreground. The trees are just waking up and you can see buds on the limbs that frame the scene of the barn in the mid ground.
What called me to that barn was the beautifully weathered wood which one can see was once painted red. And the tin roof which is possibly redder with rust than the barn ever was. There was something about that old barn in the field with all the signs of a new year around it that just spoke to me about the cycle of life.
