This UK metal print features St Albans Cathedral which locals refer to more often as "The Abbey." And historically it was an Abbey but not since the 16th century dissolution of the monasteries. The longer name it sometimes goes by is The Cathedral & Abbey Church of Saint Alban.
St Albans Cathedral is said to be the oldest site of Christian worship in Britain. It was once home to the shrine for St Alban who was martyred in Roman times. The Abbey grew around that and onto the present day cathedral. The current church building is a mix of architectural heritage. The tower you can see near the center of this print is apparently part of the Norman church while the Gothic facade is from a Victorian era renovation. The church was in a sad state of repair by this point in history so while it may not have been in keeping with the original architecture the repairs were sorely needed or we might be looking at a grassy meadow today.
On the summer day I visited, the skies were picture perfect down to that amazing reflection of light in the sky. I'm not exactly sure what atmospheric condition caused it but it wasn't simply on my camera lens. I saw that with my naked eyes that afternoon. The sun was behind my back in this picture but there was a bright almost star-like lighting in the clouds over St Albans Cathedral that afternoon. It certainly made for a memorable print of this Church of England cathedral, didn't it?

What People Are Saying
I'm a Hill and when I saw this I just had to buy it. I have so many fond memories of spending summer weeks down in Montezuma at Nanny and Paw's store. I was so sad when the flood filled the store with water but it was a testament to the community when so many banded together to help out afterwards. Just know I bought this print to frame and take to Nanny so she can enjoy it as well. Thank you so much for making this ❤️

She Loves It!
My girlfriend just received the print, and she loves it! We both love the vibrant colors, and Forsyth Park, Savannah in general, and Tybee Island are special to us because she lives in NC and I live in FL, so every once in a while we’ll meet in the middle and explore together.
Thank you so much!

Metal Prints - Product Information
Metal prints are a contemporary and stylish choice that will arrive at your door ready to hang.
The artwork is printed on a 1/16" thick sheet of aluminum that is then mounted on a 3/4" thick wooden frame. The wooden frame is recessed from the edge of the print giving the appearance of a thin high-gloss metal print that appears to be offset from your wall.
Each metal print is made to your order and printed using archival quality materials that should last a lifetime. Metal prints take 10 to 15 business days to produce and are shipped directly to you in sturdy packaging.
The only decision you will have to make when ordering your metal print is how large you would like it to be.
