The subject of this Memphis landmark art print is Sun Studio - often credited as the legendary birthplace of Rock ‘n’ roll music. But it's also where the early roots of R&B, Rockabilly, and more was recorded. When it comes to music from the middle of the 20th Century, Sun Studio is a very important place.
And it's one of the places that people visiting Memphis, Tennessee, are practically obliged to see. Especially if you've come to see where Elvis Presley recorded and called home. Hence the nod with the Pink Cadillac outside Sun Studio in this artwork.
I've found from talking with past customers that this print crosses all the demographics. So many people both young and old love the subject of this Memphis print. It's certainly a local landmark if not a world landmark. There are so many of us who consider this a special place so it was my pleasure trying to capture a little of its magic in this print.
