This original Berry College greeting card features the old mill in the fall on the campus at Mount Berry near Rome, Georgia. This wooded view of the 1930 mill features an array of warm fall foliage colors that simply brings a smile to my face. How about you?
The Old Mill at Berry College was built in 1930 - the year is featured in the round stone on the gable end of the building seen in this print. The water wheel is actually older. It was a gift to the college that had previously been used at the Hermitage, a manufacturing community located between Rome and Calhoun. The original metal structure of the wheel still remains but my understanding is that the wooden parts of the wheel have been replaced during multiple restorations of the wheel.
The waterwheel at the old mill is powered by water from the Berry Reservoir. It's piped to the location but once the pump is primed the water flows under its own pressure. The old mill is still functional and periodically grinds cornmeal which is sold in the campus gift shop.
Isn't this a beautiful setting especially with the vibrant colors of the fall foliage? What attracts you to the artwork on this Berry College greeting card?

How Can I Help?
It's important to me that you know you're dealing with a person rather than some large corporation. I'm Mark Tisdale and I've worked as an artist for over 15 years now. The bulk of that time selling my work on prints and other products has been a full-time job I love. Not only does your purchase keep the lights on in my world, it simply matters to me that you are a happy customer. In the spirt of the golden rule, I want for you what I want for myself when I purchase online. And at the end of the day, I hope you may purchase from me again in the future or refer me to your friends and family.
With that in mind, if there are any questions I can answer before you purchase, please contact me so that I can assist.
And yes, the same person whose art you are considering buying is the one answering emails and tracking your order after it ships. So if your order goes awry or arrives in a less than satisfactory condition, without a doubt I want and need to hear from you.
And as an artist if you like my style but don't see the specific subject you were hoping to find today, please do tell me what it is you're seeking.
