Tybee Island Lighthouse - Georgia Coast Greeting Card
The subject of this Georgia coast greeting card is a local landmark, the Tybee Island lighthouse. There's been a lighthouse on Tybee near Savannah since 1733. The light was rebuilt more than once over the years. The most current one was built shortly after the Civil War. You could probably guess it's Victorian from the cute light-keeper's cottage in the foreground.
If you look through my work you'll see the Tybee Island Lighthouse is a favorite subject of mine. The artwork on this card is based on my first morning there and has been a favorite with customers looking for images of the Savannah area.
