This night sky tote bag features a depiction of the historic Tybee Island Lighthouse. It's a close-up view of the top portion of the tower which has a warm golden light emanating form the windows as well as the lantern. There's a warm and peaceful feeling to this scene featuring that lovely old light. While lower portions of the light date to the 18th century, the upper portions of the lighthouse are part of a renovation following the American Civil War. The lighthouse was damaged and the opportunity was taken to not only repair it but increase its height. The lighthouse we see today is much the same as it was following that late 19th century re-building. So gazing up at the night sky feels like a time machine that as you are seeing much the same view seen all those decades ago.
Lighthouses in general are a favorite subject for me and even more so those of my home state. The Tybee Island Lighthouse as such is a subject I've revisited several times over the years. Care Instructions
Remove all items from the bag before cleaning. Suggested to pretreat visible stains with stain remover. Mix warm water with laundry detergent and clean the bag with terry washcloth or a soft bristle brush. Let the bag air dry.
